Tuoi Tre newspaper has initiated a project in Vietnam to encourage local companies and international partners to sponsor students who have graduated at the top of their high school classes but do not have the familial or economic resources to continue their education.
The Children's Bridge Foundation is sponsoring ten students through this program. Foundation staff had the opportunity to meet with all students currently being sponsored to continue their education into University. To hear their individual stories is to be humbled. It is evident that the Foundation's support is making a huge impact in their lives. The student's behavior and communications clearly suggest that these young people will, in turn, give back to their country and other people in need.
There are many additional children in Vietnam who will benefit from sponsorship. We are currently seeking individual sponsors so that we may expand our support to help additional students in need. The monthly cost to sponsor a university student is $80.00 Canadian ($960.00 annually). This support includes tuition, books, and living expenses. Sponsors will receive annual progress reports from the university and can correspond with the students by e-mail and/or mail.
